Pastor Joe Williams
Joe Williams has served as the Lead Pastor of NewLife Christian Church since 2014 and has been in full-time ministry since his ordination in 1998 at East Tulsa Christian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With nearly three decades of preaching and leadership experience, Joe is passionate about communicating God’s Word in a way that brings Scripture to life, inspires deeper engagement with the Bible, and leads to genuine transformation in everyday living.
Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, Joe is the son of a preacher and was shaped early by life in ministry. He spent part of his childhood in Portland, Oregon, before his family later relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he completed high school. These formative years across different regions helped cultivate a broad perspective on the Church and a deep appreciation for God’s work in diverse communities.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Biblical Literature degree from Ozark Christian College and later completed a Master’s degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary. Throughout his ministry journey, he has served churches in Kansas, Oregon, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas, developing a strong passion for preaching, leadership, and equipping the church to live out its calling with faithfulness and vision.
Joe has been married to his wife, Kirsten, since 1999, and together they have two sons, Neil and Brock. He strives to lead with humility and integrity, a heart for people, a deep commitment to biblical truth, and a clear, Christ-centered vision for the future of the Church.
